This qualification is assessed by a practical demonstration and written/oral questioning. This certificate is valid for 3 years.

Course Details:

This course covers:

  • Role and responsibilities of a first aider

  • Assessing an incident

  • Managing an unresponsive casualty who is not breathing normally

  • CPR and AED

  • Choking

  • Managing a casualty with external bleeding

  • Managing a casualty with a minor injury

This qualification meets the requirements for training emergency first-aiders in the workplace.

Level 3 Award in First Aid at Work

Assessment & Certification:

This qualification is assessed by a practical demonstration and written/oral questioning.

Course Details:

This course cover:

  • The role and responsibilities of a first-aider

  • Being able to manage an unresponsive casualty who is not breathing normally

  • Being able to manage a casualty with external bleeding

  • Being able to manage a casualty with a minor injury

  • Being able to conduct a secondary survey

  • Being able to administer first aid to a casualty with suspected head and spinal injuries

  • Being able to administer first aid to a casualty with anaphylaxis

Who is the Course for?

This qualification meets the requirements for training emergency first-aiders in those organisations that have identified that staff need to be trained to this level within their first-aid needs assessment.

Level 2 Award in Basic Life Support (CPR) and Safe use of an Automated External Defibrillator (AED)

Course Details:

This course covers:

  • Being able to manage an unresponsive casualty who is breathing normally

  • Being able to manage an unresponsive casualty who is not breathing normally

  • Being able to safely use an automated external defibrillator

Who is the Course for?

This qualification is aimed at individuals wishing to take further training or to develop their knowledge and/or skills in this subject area. It is recommended for first-aiders in the workplace who have access to a defibrillator or is suitable for schoolchildren as recommended by The Resuscitation Council (UK).
